Introduction

We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our Guest Accommodation for Bed and Breakfast. We have tried to provide as much information as possible. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.

Pre-Arrival

·       The nearest bus stop in the town is in Graham Road 100 metres from Como House entrance 

·       The nearest train station ‘Great Malvern Station’ is 0.5 miles away with accessible taxis outside main entrance

·       We also offer free lifts to and from the Station.

·       The nearest RADAR toilet is approx 300 metres away.

 

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

·       There is an off-road car park at the side of the main house

·       Car park is block paving level and even.

·       There is also street parking and nearby pay and display car park 100 metres away

·       The main entrance is through Wrought Iron gates into a patio garden where the front door is to be found.

·       Access is on the flat with exception of a 3 inch high step.

·       A ramp can be installed for motorised wheel chairs.

·       Distance from the front door to the car park is 10 metres.

Main Entrance & Reception

·       On entry through a tiled porch to front door there is a vestibule  3.2 x 1.8 metres

·       There is a second door into main hall 5.4 x 2.0 av metres

·       There is seating provided in the hallway

·       There is hardwood flooring throughout the ground floor and rugs

Dining Room & Lounge

·       Breakfast is served in the Dining Room on the ground floor. There are no steps.

·       Rectangular table with corner legs and leg clearance of 60 cm with 4 chairs

·       Oval table for 2 persons with centre pedestal with 62 cm leg clearance

·       Round breakfast table for 2 persons with centre pedestal with 62 cm leg clearance

·       Furniture is flexible and can be moved on request.

·       At least 1.5 m free space around all furniture

·       3 piece suite in guest lounge and several hard back chairs

·       There are 3 bedrooms, one on the first floor and two on the second floor.

 Bedrooms

First Floor Double room 

·       There are 21 stairs to the landing and the first floor bedroom.

·       The stair height is 16 cm depth 27 cm width 85 cm

·       Door widths (main and bathroom) are 78cm wide

·       There is a double bed

·       At least 85cm routes within the bedroom e.g. to the side of bed and dressing table, therefore allowing for left or right transfer to bed in any combination

·       Furniture is not moveable on request

·       Beds are 48cm high

·       Digital HD  Television and DVD

·       Two armchairs  are provided in the room

·       There is an en-suite bath with shower

·       Space free between WC and door is 1 metre

·       Fitted non slip vinyl floor

 

Second Floor bedrooms 

·       There are 18 stairs to the landing and 2 bedrooms.

·       The stair height is 16 cm depth 27 cm width 85 cm

 

Double room

·       There is approximately 60cm between the wall and each side of the bed

·       There is 1.5 metres free space at the end of the bed to the wall over a length of 4 metres.

·       There is an ensuite shower room

·       Space free between WC and door is 1.2 metres

·       Bed is 48 cm high

·       There is a Digital HD TV with DVD

·       Fitted short pile carpet on the floor

·       Good contrast in décor

 

Twin Room

·       There is approximately 60cm between the wall and each side of the bed

·       There is 1 metre free space at the end of the bed to the wall over a length of 3.5 metres

·       Bed is 48 cm high

·       There is Digital HD TV and DVD

·       Fitted short pile carpet on the floor

·       Good contrast in décor 

·       There is a separate en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle.

·       Bath height is 52 cm

·       Space free between WC and door is 1.5 metres 

 

Grounds and Gardens 

·       We have a large enclosed garden for residents which is available to sit in with benches and tables

·       There is a courtyard garden with patio outside of the front entrance

·       Dogs are not allowed the freedom of the gardens but are allowed under control     

·       There is common land 300 metres walk from the B&B where dogs can get more exercise

·       There is an ornamental pond with bridge over 90 cm wide….Parents of young children to be aware

 

Additional Information 

·       Dogs are welcomed by arrangement 

·       Mobile phone reception is generally good

·       The front entrance is the main route for evacuation to the car park

·       If you require more assistance for evacuation please notify us on arrival.  e.g. hearing impairment.

·       We are happy to take delivery of hired equipment

·       We are a non smoking building (smoking is allowed in the garden which has level entry and bins are provided)

·       We can offer to put any medication in a fridge.

·       Full gas central heating

Introduction

Our self catering garden apartment is located on the lower ground floor of the main house. It has a very light sunny ambience overlooking beautiful gardens with an ornamental pond. We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in the apartment and have tried to provide as much information as possible. ·     The main entrance is through a sun room with French window door accessed by crossing the garden.

·     There are 2 routes….1.    Down 6 steps 0.9 wide x 0.4 deep x .150 high.

2.  A longer route over the bridge and around the pond mainly on the flat and a slight incline.

·     2 further steps are at the entrance 0.9 wide x 0.4 deep x 0.150 high 

·     Distance from the car park is 25 metres away from the apartment entrance

 

Apartment:

·     Main entrance is through the sun lounge French windows with a 90cm wide opening outwards to the main lounge and keyhole 80cm high.

·     There is a threshold of 6mm when entering the apartment

 

Lounge and Dining area

 

·     The lounge is open plan with a dining area….overall size is 7m x 4m

·     Rectangular Table 70 cm high with centre pedestal and leg clearance of 66 cm with 2 carver chairs and a monks pew

·     There is free space of 1.25 by 1 metre clear of doors and furniture

·     There is hardwood flooring throughout with rugs

·     Furniture is moveable

·     One 3 seater sofa and 2 easy chairs provided all with arms

·     Digital freeview TV provided with remote control and DVD

·     Stereo DAB radio and CD

 

Laundry

 There is a separate laundry with automatic washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is also a small drying room.

 

 Bedroom 1

·     Door width 85cm

·     Double King size Sleigh bed provided

·     Bed height 48cm floor to top of mattress 

·     Sheets, duvets and pillows provided cotton and some polyester

·     Largest transfer space available to left or right of bed is 1. 5 metres

·     Largest free space clear of doors and furniture is 3m x 2m

 

Bedroom 2

·     Door width 90 cm

·     2 x twin beds 50 cm apart

·     Duvets and pillows provided cotton and some polyester

·     Largest transfer space to left or right of both beds is 0.5 m

·     Largest transfer space is 2 m x 1.5 m

 

Bathroom & WC

·     Located in hallway 1.5 m wide x 5 m long and a distance of 4 m from both bedrooms and 2 m from lounge

·     Door width 90 cm

·     Bath with flexible shower over

·     Bath height is 47 cm. Integral bath rails on both sides

·     Free space in bathroom is 1.6 by 1.6 metres

·     Toilet seat height 45cm

·     Space either side of WC is 50 cm

·     Flooring is non slip vinyl

·     Good colour contrast between floor, walls and furniture

·     Washbasin is mounted to a stand and 78 cm high

 

Kitchen

·     Kitchen open plan with door 85 cm wide from lounge

·     Worktop height 88 cm. 

·     Oven door is RH side open, height of highest shelf 55 cm  metres.

·     Sink is 88 cm high with cupboards underneath

·     Hob is 88 cm high with 4 halogen hotplates

·     Flooring is a 20 mm raised ceramic tiled area

·     Evenly lit kitchen with ceiling spotlights where required

·     Good contrast between floor, cupboards and other surfaces

·     Fridge with small freezer, highest shelf in fridge 50 cm

·     Dishwasher machine at 40 cm height

·     Fire extinguisher and fire blanket fitted to wall
